   I have OCD when it comes to research. For the features and quaility, I couldn’t imagine spendding more money unless I had the disposable income to do so. About 1.5 years I purchased the same type of faucet, but it was Delta (there went the extra money). Nice faucet, but my wife coundn’t stand that it wouldn’t reset to regular flow- so I had to remember to reset it each time. Not worth changing facuets over, but the button for water flow began to stick and with my wife’s weak hands, it was time for a new faucet. Pros – Beautiful design, magnetic spray nozzle for redocking, spot free solid stainless steel, and flow reset to normal mode after turning off the water. Also the Delta was much more of a pain to install. It’s never fun getting under a sink, but with a pillow, a headband flashlight, a wrench, a screw driver, and it was pracically effortless. The direction were spot on. My only suggestions would be to attach the water lines (nice a secure to the facuet) before dropping through the top of the sink. This way all you have to do is attach to the hot and cold lines to the pipes (other than securing the facuet to the sink—which is very nice design for ease). Update-The entire reason I got this faucet was because it reset from spray to regular on its own after you shut it off, but now it’s not doing that and just stays on spray. the switch is not moving back as it should. Which is disappointing.

   Absolutely loved the look of this faucet and enjoyed it while it lasted. Purchased in 2022 and made it until 2024. Water started pooling under the cabinet from a leak between the water line supply and the connection to the nozzle.

   When I purchased this faucet in early December of 2018 there were only 5 or 6 reviews posted here for it, all of them 5 stars. I had it installed by our plumber so can’t speak to ease of installation, but it didn’t seem to give him any trouble. However, we both immediately noticed that the spray head would not retract on its own and had to be forcibly pushed back into the neck. This is our 4th single handle/one-hole faucet since my wife and I had our kitchen completely remodeled 15 years ago (more on that below) and none of the previous units had this problem. However, none were this tall either, as this unit rises almost 17″ above the sink. The plumber and I tried numerous remedies, making sure there were no obstructions under the sink, switching the weight out with my previous faucet’s, putting BOTH weights on the hose, etc. Nothing worked. You can see by my photo how the spray head just hangs in place after being pulled down and this holds true no matter how much or little it’s been pulled out. I continued to experiment and eventually came to the conclusion that it was the shape of the faucet neck, i.e., its extensive downward length beyond the neck’s apex, that was preventing the hose from retracting. In other words there is simply too much friction and physical resistance within the neck for the head to retract on its own. I note however, after skimming the now numerous reviews, that this doesn’t seem to be a common problem, so now I’m not sure why we have this issue. Our other disappointments: 1) The spray head switch is supposed to revert the flow back to a solid stream after turning the faucet off in spray mode, but this began to intermittently fail almost immediately and by two months or so no longer worked at all. This was a feature we were really counting on. 2) I knew prior to purchasing there was no magnet where the spray head connects to the neck but now realize there needs to be, as the head simply refuses to stay snug against the neck and sags off up to 1/8″ after turning off the water. This may be at least somewhat due to our retraction problems, but why not have a magnet to snap and hold the head in place? But hey, it’s not all bad news for this faucet. Positives include its sleek appearance, the strength of the spray stream, smoothness of the solid stream, and precision volume and temperature control via the single handle. All really good features. One word of advice to anyone considering a single handle/single hole faucet versus the old-fashioned two handle models. When we remodeled 15 years ago the owner of the plumbing company we used insisted we simply HAD to have a single hole faucet. I was reluctant to install one as my fear was they were probably over-engineered, subject to parts failure and, basically, not simple mechanisms built to last. I should have trusted myself instead of the plumber. Here’s the thing: Single handle faucets are full of tiny plastic parts that sooner or later will build up with calcium/mineral deposits and fail. Unless your home’s water is exceptionally mineral free or filtered prior to reaching your kitchen sink, a single handle faucet’s internal parts, in my experience at least, are eventually going to gum up and stop working. In our case this is happening far too often given what these faucets cost. Yes, the failed parts can be replaced, but unless you’re going to make the diagnosis and effect the repairs yourself you may find it cheaper, as we have over the years, to simply replace the entire faucet. We’re averaging a lifespan of only about 5 years on our single handle faucets, typically with diminishing functionality for the last year or more until we get so fed up we buy a new one. These faucets are really handy and sleek, but if you’re budget-conscious and your water has some degree of mineral content (and ours is by no means considered unusually hard) my feeling is that simpler is better and functionality trumps style. Traditional two-handle faucets are less expensive to purchase and maintain, have fewer intricate parts, and are much simpler to repair. Maybe you’ll have better luck than we have but it’s something to consider, at least. Thanks!

   I have now had this faucet for one year. I have had no issues with it at all. Performs great. No leaks or problems with installation. The hose retracts nicely. I love the curve to it and how pretty it is. The handle is perfect as there is a window sill that is right behind it but the handle doesn’t bump it as it ends in the vertical position. I love my large black sink and this faucet goes perfectly with it. The only thing I would change is how the toggle function works to change it to spray. A previous faucet I had would go back to the normal stream once the faucet was turned off. This toggle stays in the spray position even after the water is turned off. My husband forgets to toggle back to the normal stream and I have gotten spritz with water that bounces from the high stream of the spray. Some people might like that it stays on spray but I would prefer it “reset” to the normal stream once the water is turned off. Otherwise this faucet is perfect, great buy!

   I have had this Kraus Kitchen Faucet in my current home for 5+ years and love it. No leaks or drips whatsoever, but I did have an experienced plumber install it. I just bought another one for a condo I am having renovated. What I like most is that it’s pull-down function does not fight with me, or ever hang down unsecured since it has a magnet that holds securely in just one-position on the faucet. Plumber reviews have rated it as ‘easy-to-set-up’, which is always good.
   I like that the spray/solid stream pivot-button is located on the rear of the pull-down faucet. The counter-weight which pulls the hose back does not have a strong pull-back as it tugs the spray faucet back into it’s magnet housing, the recoil pull is just sufficient enough to help one easily guide it back to it’s housing magnet.

   I have the hose set to pull-down just 12 inches, but it can be set to pull down at least another 6+ inches if one wants it that way.
   It is also easy to clean since it has no crevasses or sharp edges, all smooth roundness for the most part.

   I bought this to replace one of those tall pull-down faucets that are all the rage. I like this one much better. I love the much cleaner design of this faucet as compared to the monstrosity that I had before. Also, the spray is not as forceful, which to me is a feature. The old faucet would peel the skin right off of an apple if you weren’t careful! This one has a much more reasonable spray. Also, I like how the handle works – straight up is cold, towards the front is hot. I can tell immediately by looking what the water temperature will be.

   Now, I read a number of reviews of people complaining that the spray head wouldn’t fully retract back into the neck by itself. Well, it isn’t designed to work that way folks. Just use your hand, which is holding the spray head anyway, and guide it back into the neck. Also, my faucet does have magnets to hold the spray head in place, but they aren’t powerful enough to suck it back into position. Also, do note that the design of the faucet isn’t in the form of a circular tube, so when the faucet is turned to one side or the other the neck doesn’t line up with the base. But, that is easy enough to fix, just turn it back so that it lines up and voila!

   I looked around a long time for a faucet and all the review and brands were confusing. I saw this and it is identical to much more expensive ones so I gave it a try. It is great. my contractor installed it so I cannot say if it was easy but he commented that I got a good product. Only two water flow options but that is fine for me. switching back and forth is easy with two buttons in back of sprayer. It snaps back into its slot easily. I have it only a few weeks so cannot say for long term but so far so good. No leaking, no annoying features

   UPDATE: after 3 weeks the spray arm is not going back into the slot properly. A small plastic piece came off that impacts this. Please note that the sprayer gets very mild use and this is a one person household. I’ve had some back and forth with Kraus customer service. While they have been responsive, they do nothing to help the extra cost I now have to incur to get the contractor send someone to put it in again. And we all know that’s going to cost me. Customer service said they can send me a new faucet free or just replace this part but either way the faucet has to be taken out under the sink and reinstalled so I’m not really happy. They offered no financial compensation for this.

   This is the most beautiful, fantastic working kitchen faucet I’ve ever seen . Thank you krausoutlet.com & Kraus . The photos absolutely do not do this faucet justice . The quality is superb . Great weight to this product, but once installed it’s featherweight as far as it moves around your sink . The large chrome tip pulls down, & squeezing the tab on the rear of it changes the stream to a spray . You can either squeeze it again to return it to a stream or simply shut the water off & it will return itself . My big question before I purchased it was does it come with a base plate because the photo on krausoutlet.com showed the faucet without one . Asked krausoutlet.com & the answer came back, yes it does. As you can see it comes with a beautiful chrome base plate which matches the tip & handle . Not cheap but worth twice the price . Buy it you won’t be sorry .

    We have had the Kraus Merlin spot free stainless faucet installed for almost a month now, and have been very happy with it. The only negative aspect was removal of our old leaky Delta, but installing the Kraus was surprisingly easy after following the instructions, and not a drop has leaked since. The styling of this faucet is similar to the Delta Berkley, which we were going to get at first. Even though we were unfamiliar with this company, we took a chance with this one for $50 less and couldn’t be happier. It seems every bit as solid as the Delta, and maybe better in some ways. The spray action, extension and retraction work better than our old one. The spot free stainless finish really lives up to its name and always looks great. Just wish the rest of the old sink also looked this nice. The warranty is lifetime, which is good because that’s how long we plan to hang on to this gem. Glad to have discovered Kraus!

    Bought this as a used item for less than half the price. Only issue with the used item was the box was damaged. Didn’t matter as the faucet was still new and it looks and functions beautifully. The stream and spray is stronger than our other faucet. We bought this because our current faucet angled downwards which cause excessive spraying all over our counter. This faucet angles slightly and we no longer have the problem over water splashing all over our sink or counters. The rotation is smooth and the pull down retracts really nicely. Quality of this piece is excellent, highly recommend it.
