   I started upgrading my kitchen a couple of years ago. First, the kitchen faucet was upgraded from the standard contractor grade faucet to a cheap version of a commercial kitchen type. It was okay. But, just okay. For what it LOOKED like, it really didn’t perform. This one from KrausUSA is much better. It’s well made, quality materials, quality construction. It installed very easily. No special fittings or adapters required. All the components needed for a perfect installation are included. Like most plumbing fixtures sold in the USA, it comes with a flow restrictor built in. BUT, it comes with another restrictor that allows a little more flow than standard. And, me being a ‘full force’ guy, I have figured out how to eliminate the restriction completely. This KrausUSA faucet is only lacking one feature, an extended pull out nozzle. it could be that they thought you wouldn’t want the pull out feature, if you already had the spring mounted pull down type. I would have preferred both. But, on the other hand, the constant wear of being pulled out might have caused a lot of damage on the casing of the leader, in this coil spring design. So, okay. I am making a few minor, probably just personal preference, modifications. But, overall, this a a great, commercial similar, kitchen faucet at a reasonable price.

   Truly love this faucet but what makes it that much better has been the outstanding customer service received. Unfortuantley we ran into some minor issues with the faucet but each time we reached out the response was immediate and always helpful . It’s not very often today a companies customer service is something to write about but this company deserves all the recognition!

   Gorgeous faucet. I absolutely love it.
   To be honest, I was swayed by the looks. I didn’t want a bright yellow gold faucet and this one has just the perfect shade of subtle gold. The spray head is not the most functional, as some reviewers mentioned, but to me the beauty of it was totally worth it!
   I still use the spray head to clean the sink and rinse some dishes/pots. The water flow is really good and the whole piece is quite sturdy.

   So not to confuse you, the picture I took is of our old 1602 model so you can compare with the new model the 1603. The 1603 faucet is nice and the installation was easy. The customer service can’t be beat. Here’s what happened and why only 3 stars. We have the 1602 model we bought 9 years ago and we LOVE it. However, the sprayer started to stray water out of the handle were water shouldn’t be coming out. So, we called the company to try to get replacement parts and they no longer sell the 1602. So, we ordered what they are calling their upgraded version the 1603. If you’ve had the 1602 then you’ll be very disappointed with the 1603. Because of federal water restrictions the 1603 will not allow you to use water from the spigot and sprayer at the same time. That was the biggest disappointment for me and my husband because when we are both in the kitchen cooking and cleaning it is nice to not have to wait for the other person to get done with the sink. Also, they put a water restrictor in the line so the water pressure wasn’t to our liking. Then there’s the sprayer handle. On our old one you could lock the handle to spray continuously so you could have both hands free. The new one you have to squeeze and hold the whole time. On our old one there was 3 places the water could be turned on. One at the bottom of the base. Another on the spigot were the water comes out and then the sprayer. It may not sound like a big deal but as I said before, when we hooked up the new version (1603) we were missing that feature. That feature was nice because the lever at the bottom of the base is the temperature control. So, we could put that lever on what ever temperature we wanted and leave it open. Then we use the lever on the Spigot to turn the water off and on. This feature is nice because you have the perfect temperature every time you turn on the sprayer or the spigot. You don’t have to spend time searching for the temperature. The last thing that is disappointing about the new one (1603) is the length of the sprayer hose and the stiffness of the spring that the hose goes through. You will not be able to pull it down even a little bit to spray out your sink. The hose is to short and the spring is to stiff. We disconnected the new faucet (1603) and reinstalled our old one (1602) and went to Lowe’s for parts to try to fix it. Luckily, we were able to fix the old one for now. Because of the wonderful experience with Kraus customer service we will watch for their next commercial style faucet and hopefully they will come up with something similar to the old 1602.

    It is a beautiful faucet if you just want something to look at and not touch/use. However, I used it *lightly* for 2 days and decided I’m going to return it. The finger prints on the brushed brass are the worst I’ve even seen! In the video I posted, I had JUST scrubbed them off with the microfiber cloth & there a still some left. Not easy to wash away or wipe away. For how big it is and as much of a statement piece it is, it constantly looks dirty. It also defaults to the pot filler when turned on. There is not an option to “lock” the spray nozzle in place so you have to manually hold it to use it, making it really inconvenient. These are just design flaws that bothered me but for a nearly $400 faucet, I expected more. This might be perfect for someone but was not user friendly to me. Was super excited but will be returning. I could find something comparable for 1/2 the price.

    – I love this faucet. The Quality is excellent, as are the functions and ergonomics. It creates a powerful rinse even with our less than great water pressure. I LOVE this faucet. – Sadly they put the wrong size O-rings in the attached hoses. New O-Rings were cheap but it cost me an hour of my plumbers time changing the install and waiting for me to run out and buy new O-rings. I was not happy. Neither was he. -The new sink is from SinkDepot. It is 33″ wide and has a “deck” that you mount the faucet on. Most of the splashes end up on the deck, not on our composite countertop where it would seep in to the cut our for the sink and destroy the countertop. This is not a problem if you have a solid stone or quarts top, but for cheap countertops it is a big problem. This sink is a dual mount, so when we can afford granit countertops we can under-mount it. I LOVE THIS SINK! It was only $360 from the factory. More with Home Depot.

    En fait c’est du matériel dz fabrication Américaine, qui d’ailleurs m’a été livré d’Angleterre et la très mauvaise surprise est que les raccords sont au standard USA.
    Ce n’est pas le même filtage et diamètre que chez nous, donc il est impossible de le raccorder.
    Après avoir chercher pendant un mois, même chez des professionnels, il n’existe pas d’adaptateur entre le standard USA et le standard France au niveau des raccords de plomberie.
    Donc ce produit est A FUIR, NE PAS ACHETER.
