I was doubtful of the quality of this product given the almost two for one pricing but my doubts have all been assuaged. We wanted a basket type drain and we are very pleased with this purchase, plus we have an extra drain to give away that is also quite attractive. The basket drain works perfectly, no leaks and the cap seals well, holding water in our sink until we choose to let it out.

A quality product that’s easy to install and maintain. Strainers snap in tightly, and basket plug is leak free.

A nice upgrade to the standard drain sets – the cup strainer looks nice and works very well, catching more debris, and cleaning up easily!

I have purchased 2 sets of these ( for myself and parents) and each time was simple to install. I am not sure about longevity but it’s a Kraus product so it can’t be that bad.

I thought these were a great value and excellent quality. We have a septic tank with a pusher pump so having a garbage disposal isn’t the best choice. The deep bowl and basket on the Kraus BST eliminates the problems with food going down the drain.
The one negative is that it doesn’t come with instructions so here is a tip: There are two gaskets….a white one and a black one. The white one goes on top of the sink and eliminates the need to use plumbers putty or silicone on the top of the sink. The black one goes below the sink.

This is really cheaply made stuff. I would not install it after receipt as the metal is so thin. I think the metal is not stainless steel but not sure, as it is too thin to be able to discern. Certainly not same quality as you would get in a Kohler stainless sink trap. Do not buy will be disappointed.

This may work well on stainless steel sinks or units that have fairly thin walls. There are not sufficient depth of threads for it to work on sinks that have a thicker wall. I was trying to install in on a granite composite sink and was unable to utilize this set. I was able to return the unit for full refund.

Must be used on the correct double sink!

After buying a set of “stainless steel” strainers on krausoutlet.com last year (no longer sold here thankfully), only to have both completely fall apart in less than a year, I decided I wanted a quality product to go along with my new kitchen faucet. Was hesitant at first about the cost of these, but after seeing how the other ones held up, I ordered these. Night and day difference from the previous set. They look and feel quality, and are true stainless steel. They capture everything from going down the drain and to the septic tank. They look expensive installed and are something that no one else I know has, which is an added bonus. Doubt that will be the case for long though, because everyone who sees them just goes on about how nice they are and want to know where I found them! Highly recommend.

We are on a septic system and kitchen disposals are not recommended for that.
This works much better than a normal sink strainer.
