   I looked at this product on quite a few retailer websites and ultimately purchased through krausoutlet.com because of a better price point. Love that the trash bag is fully hidden and there is an option to open it for longer periods of time. The finish is nice; more of a sleek matte black that is very easy to wipe off. The motion sensor works very well, batteries are easy to install, and it doesn’t take much effort to change out the trash bag.

   If you have to pay full price I’m not sure this is a bargain. The mechanism used to hold the bags is cumbersome and makes the opening smaller. I removed the yellow arms and cut down the center flange and just wrap the bag around the outside of the can it works great. Some have mentioned that the bag tears when they remove it. I just put some black electrical tape around the inside/top and have no problems.

   Just received. Very nice looking and fits perfectly in the space I wanted. Love that there is a countdown clock on the automatic lid so you know how long you have before the lid closes. Also love the bag holder bars that ensure the bag is well seated in the can and not sticking out. Motion detector works well with a wave over the sensor and doesn’t open randomly when I walk past. Special note…when you remove the battery compartment, don’t be alarmed that there appears to be a spring missing. If you look closely, it says “no battery here”. I didn’t see that at first and called customer service (US based!) to request a new battery compartment which was easy, and the gent I spoke with very kind. So far…very pleased!

   Just got today, arrived in perfect shape. Packed very well. Other reviewers were complaining about the plastic material in the can tearing the trash bags. That is suppose to be removed, it is strictly for shipping. Other reviewers were complaining about the plastic bags leaking on the sides of the can where the orange handles are. Don’t see how that would happen because the lid covers that part of the bag, it is two inches thick front and back, the rim of the lid may get dirty. I just made sure the bag is tight and I will see what happens. Sensor works well. Will see if it keeps up and you definitely have to use new batteries. It is smaller than my old touchless can I had for about 5 yrs. I will review again later in a few weeks.

    Use this can as pictured. Otherwise the inserts will rip the trash bags and get garbage everywhere. With that in mind I think the can is over priced

    I really had a hard time picking out which can I wanted to buy – so many to choose from! So I just wanted to say, the battery holder is tricky. I popped it out, put the 3 batteries in, replaced it, and it didn’t work. I finally got it in the right way, but the instructions weren’t much help. The holder will go in whichever way, but only one way is correct. So that wasn’t great. I am happy to report that the lid doesn’t open by just walking past it. I haven’t had an automatic one before, so I was a little concerned that it would pop open every time anyone went near it. So all in all, I’m very happy with it.

    We bought this trash can to replace a different brand we had for a few years that stopped opening. I liked the fact this one was black and a little shorter than my previous one. In the very beginning we realized the part you attach the trash bag to is a bad design. The bag does not seat properly so there are gaps to let small trash fall through. The biggest problem is getting the filled bag out of the can. You can’t fill the can full. If you do it won’t come out. Also there are ridges around the inside of the can that will tear holes in the bag. I would like to return it for a refund, but to my surprise there is only a one month window for return on this item. Don’t waste your money!

    I bought the black model almost 2 years ago. Was working perfectly fine and then this weekend it just stopped working. My husband took it apart and said that one of the ends on the holder that keeps the battery pack in, had turned black and broke. Needless to say I don’t think I will buy another one…of this brand anyways.

    We’ve had it for 2 months now without any issues. The lid opens and closes quietly and the sensor works consistently. It fits a standard 13 gallon kitchen garbage bag well and taking the bag out is easy. I still don’t really understand if I am fitting the garbage bag on the “arms” in the way it was designed, but it seems to work just fine. It’s aesthetically pleasing too – it looks like it would cost more than it does, in my opinion.
