Our home was flooded on 9-28-22 during Hurricane Ian (Cape Coral, FL). We had to move out for several months while home was gutted and re-sheetrocked, including entire kitchen had to be replaced. This sink and disposal (both KRAUS) were installed just over 1 year ago (approx. 12-22-22). In less than one year, this sink has developed stains, scratches etc.. (see photos–difficult to photo stainless but you can see the stains/scratches. Now I am the ONLY person living here (a retired senior). My dear hubby passed away quite unexpectedly in March 2023. So there is only ONE person here (me), who is doing very little cooking since my husband’s passing. Totally unacceptable for a sink in this price range. We purchased another stainless sink for the laundry room –less than 1/2 the price of the KRAUS and it is holding up much better. I have been so careful with maintenance- I use DAWN dish liquid to clean the sink and cloth, sponge and paper towel to wipe down after use. I rarely leave negative reviews however on an item that is really a focal point in one’s kitchen and used daily, I felt it was my responsibility to forewarn folks who may be considering this sink. My son put in a new kitchen a few years ago in their home (there are 3 of them living there) – that stainless sink looks perfectly fine– no obvious scratches or discoloration (but it is NOT a KRAUS). Even the KRAUS disposal unit that we purchased barely works– we should have left the old one in and saved $$. If I could give ZERO stars I would have.

Bought this sink because of the great reviews only to receive a sink that’s coming apart at the seams !! How did this pass quality control ? I’m glad I checked before I installed it. Maybe I got a lemon or, maybe this brand is doing so well that they’re skipping quality inspections.

This is a very nice sink, but be aware of a few things. The corners are a little hard to clean. Also, the gentle sloping of the bottom means that the water drains slowly. Other than that, I’m happy so far.

Make sure you take out the sink and examine it. Unfortunately we didn’t and it was too late by the time we did our renos. There was a dent on the rim of the sink. Our countertop guys had to twist and bend the dent to get it to fit. It was our fault for not looking at the entire sink when we opened it as we could have exchanged it maybe. Otherwise it’s very beautiful and looks amazing in my new kitchen.

This is a lovely sink. One thing to note is that the picture on krausoutlet.com did not correspond with the model number. The sink that arrived did not have a slightly concave apron. It was completely square. We didn’t mind very much, but you might. It is an error in the advertisement on krausoutlet.com. So do check the specs for the model that you ordered and don’t go by the picture on krausoutlet.com!

The sink itself is as advertised.

Sink and parts are high quality. Great color, matching our black stainless appliances. They took care to package the sink in a canvas bag inside the foam and cardboard, ensuring no scratches or dents. Haven’t installed it yet but this one will be undermounted beneath the new countertops coming soon.
