   I bought this Kraus Purita faucet to deliver filtered water as a companion to our Kraus Bolden kitchen sink faucet (both pictured installed). They look great together, and the Purita works well, once it’s installed. That said, the installation was difficult, because of the odd size of the water connector. I wrongly assumed that it would have a standard 3/8-in. screw-on connection, like both the Kraus Bolden faucet and my water filter. (Had I read the previous reviews here, I would have seen others complaining about this too.) The Purita will only connect, though, to a 3/8 plastic tubing (not included). I had to go to the hardware store and buy a roll of plastic tubing and a compression adapter to connect it to the standard connection of the water filter. A picture of this Frankenstein combination is above. Kraus support is virtually non-existent on their website. There’s some information buried in a big Q&A forum for all their filter products, but good luck finding it. This incompatibility of connections seems to be a frequent complaint of customers, which could have been avoided by including standard connections with the faucet (like they do with other products).

   My fridge took 45 seconds to fill my bottle, figured there had to be a better way, cause it’s not like the fridge had an RO filtration system. I ended up getting the APEC CS-2500, but it was a huge pain to get it to work because I didn’t want to use my existing sink since I wanted something meant for drinking water, so I got this faucet, the only faucet that I’ve found to not use the quick connect fittings, since I wanted hard line fittings to avoid leaks. I searched online to find various adaptors which none worked, but after going to Home Depot and screwing the faucet into their gauge chart, I found the size of the faucet was 1/4 compression and asked someone there how I could adapt from 3/8 to 1/4 compression and he immediately gave me an answer, not sure how he figured it out so quickly, but I’m very grateful cause it worked perfectly. I posted a picture of the adaptors and hose I needed to make it work for anyone else that wants to save themselves a headache. Eventually I will switch to RO, but not until I get the Aqara leak detection setup, because RO has so many quick connect fittings and I just don’t trust it. I am a bit disappointed that one of the fittings had to be brass instead of stainless, but even my fridge used brass fittings, so I’ll just have to deal with it until I switch to RO. Anyway it cut my time from 45 seconds to under 10 to fill up my bottle now so I’m happy.

    Faucet is great but and a huge but, a major piece is missing from the push connector. Make sure you buy rubber rings for the part that screws onto the actual faucet so the part is actually usable. Without the rubber ring that goes into the connector, water will leak EVERYWHERE. Feel like this is a huge oversight on the side of the company considering the price for this faucet.

    The RO faucet is great as well as the regular faucet. Very slick look. The only complaint I would have is that the spray setting doesn’t work as well with low water pressure. I like to use a low pressure for watering my plans so it can get in the way but its not a dealbreaker.

    I’ll tell you what! You want an amazing faucet? But this faucet!!!! So three years ago I purchased this faucet and a 40” long 8” deep commercial sink. About two weeks ago it began to become loose. Thinking about emptying the lower cabinet, laying on my back and attempting to put the standard faucet wrench on a bolt 8” up behind the sink. Ugh!!! But wait!!! Loosed the set screw on the back left side of the faucet, pull up the faucet and you’ll find an Allen set screw there to tighten!! OMG !! Took literally 2 minutes!!!

    Excellent quality with a clever collar/base unit which permits fitting from above. No scrabbling about under the sink.!

    BUT, and this is a big BUT, the tails are not the size described and they are bonded to the tap so replacing them is not an option.

    Having assumed they were the US std thread, as UK thread appeared not compatible, I eventually discovered that the female thread on the tails is M14. This is not a std size in UK and it took some weeks to source a female 1/2” to male M14 fitting from contextpneumatics.com based here in uk who now machine this specific fitting to cater for US imports.
    Trust this helps those struggling with the problem.
