   So this is proprietary for the Kraus Square drain sinks. I like the sink but was frustrated with the the push down and pop up built in strainer for the disposal adapter which prevented getting larger garbage pieces down into the disposal. It caused some frustration, until later. But with nothing describing there being a removable part in the product description until I went back and read other reviews more carefully I found one sharp reviewer that did, I am happy to report that the center 3 pronged element is easily removed to put any larger garbage down. See photos. Once I figured this out we are much happier with the product. I was surprised that this process isn’t described in the product description. See photos.

   Fits my Kraus Pax sink and Kitchenaid garbage disposal perfectly. As other reviewers have pointed out, the center Y piece pulls out very easily and you have full access to the disposal opening. You can choose not to use this piece if you don’t want want to. We’ll probably leave it out.

   Perfect. Fit the disposal we had. No problems. Don’t know what all the negatives were about. Sticking anything bigger in than the hole size provided would not be a good idea.

   The plumber cut himself putting it in (recommend having a pro put it in for that reason), but once complete, this adaptor was perfect for use in our second sink basin. The cover looks great, the disposal opening comes out to stuff waste in through a large hole, and when both tops replaced, prevents chunks from splashing back out, much better than the rubber triangles we had previously. All the parts are easy to clean and seem very high quality and solid materials went into it. I’m expecting a long and pleasant experience with this device.

   En de vista bonito pero resulta ser mas difícil de colocar y limpiar. Si usas procesador de alimentos (insinkerator u otro) tendrás que quitar y poner los empaques si quieres cerrar totalmente en flujo. No vale la pena.

    I would love this adaptor but unfortunately the holes in the drain are too small to fit food down. I’m very upset because I spent a lot of money on the sink (already installed) and the drain won’t work with the small holes. I wish I had known. Edited to upload a picture of the drain I received. There’s no way this is able to accommodate food. I believe I was shipped the wrong drain.

    I bought this square adaptor for use with an EZ Mount disposal. The Kraus adaptor is made to fit snap-ring mounts, so that wouldn’t work – I returned the EZ mount disposal and got a 3-bolt mount disposal thinking that would work. The groove in the Kraus adaptor isn’t deep enough to hold the rubber boot on a 3-bolt mount disposal, otherwise it would work. My chosen brand of disposal did not offer a snap-ring style mounting system, so I cut the flange off the disposal-supplied adaptor and welded it onto the bottom of the Kraus adaptor. Now I had a Kraus square sink adaptor with the deep groove extension needed for a 3-bolt mount. It worked. But it sure would be easier if Krause offered different styles of their square adaptors.

    Works as advertised.. I got the pax zero edge sink and it worked perfectly with my badger. I do believe it keeps the water from flowing freely down like any other filter so we just take it out now
