   I bought two of these pop-up drains for bathroom sinks. I wanted pop-up drains and purchased Kraus sinks so I thought this product would be the best fit. One of them was defective and would not seal properly after it was installed, so I returned it. The return process was difficult and lengthy until krausoutlet.com stepped in and processed the return for me. I have had the other drain for about a year. It functions okay but the satin nickel finish is wearing off around the edge so there is a brass-colored ring around it. I would not recommend this product. Update on this product: after just over 1-1/2 years of normal use, this Kraus pop-up drain is badly tarnished and looks awful. This reinforces my earlier statement that I do not recommend this product.

   They are not cheap, but you don’t want cheap water related anything. There are more expensive Kraus drains, but this one does the trick just fine. Have 4 of those at my house. I think 3 I bought “used – like new”. I love them. Solid, simple. But the fact that I got to knock a couple of bucks off buying “used – as new” made all the difference to me!    Not a manufacturer approved seller so no warranty. This drain is unlike the ones we had previously, does not drain well. Even with the water turned on low, drain open all the way, your sink could eventually overflow. See picture, barely open even when fully popped up.The open drain can’t keep up with the incoming water. We are returning these for something different.

   This drain should have lasted longer than 2 years & 3 months. At first is was the cats meow. Today the spring failed and its main Function is shot. We rarely used the pop up function. The pop up hook spring has corroded from its set position. I’ll order another as it’s still built better than a Chinese version. Hope it lasts longer this time. Planned obsolescence thrives.

   I came across this while searching for ways to fix a slow draining vessel sink that doesn’t have an overflow port. I’d been told by 2 plumbers that we needed to install a new vent in the plumbing, turns out the old drain just had too small of holes not allowing the air in the drain to escape when flooded with water. This was a quick simple swap and my sink has never drained this good since owning this house.

   OMG! I am so happy to find Kraus PU-L10CH Bathroom Pop-Up Drain Assembly for Vessel Sinks and a good quality product. I recently purchased a Bathroom Vanity which included a vessel sink and pop-up drain at krausoutlet.com. I didn’t want to use the countertop that came with the vanity because I always wanted a stone, granite or marble top instead. I bought a gray stone top which went magically with my vanity, but a problem popped up; the pop-up drain that came with it didn’t have enough threads, in other words, it’s too short because the stone top added one inch more which wasn’t in the blue print for the pop-up drain that came with the vanity, To make it worse, no plumbing store in our area had one with extra threads. Hubby said we have to use the original top since he couldn’t find it anywhere. No way, somewhere had to have it and I am willing to wait until I find it, because I am not sending back the stone top which complimented this cabinet OMG. Please note, it’s not for vessel sinks with overflow, but even though ours have an overflow, it was what we needed to solve the problem. If Kraus makes one for sink with overflow, I would like to find it and we would change this one, but for now it solved a major problem.     Bathroom remodel and I have poured concrete countertops. The pop ups that came with my sinks were too short to accommodate the thicker countertop so I purchased these.
    Plumber said they installed easily and were perfect. They also look great. Function just as described, the Matt black finish is easy to wipe clean and they match the other matte black fixtures.
