   Kind of expected that it doesn’t quite fit my sink with lips but I elevated the mat with some plastic whiteboards (not sure how sanitary it would be after usage) but for now it is working until I figure another idea. Once the mat is raised over the lip of the sink, and a couple of cheese wedges cut from a cheese like doorstopper to raise the level to place a dish rack, it is good for why I bought it. For years I had to place a string on the bottom of the pan of the dish rack in order to drain but this is theoretically much more effective and less moldy. Let’s see how long the idea of this mat will last.

   My counter top adjacent to my sink always gets splashes so I wanted something to catch those splashes, yet not take up too much space. This is perfect for that and also a place for an occasional glass or small container to dry. The water drains into the sink and the mat stays dry. I’ve also used it for a trivet next to the sink to place a hot pot before washing it.

   Love how sloped it is. With a couple design changes could be even better. Feet on the bottom in a few places might allow any water that did make it under to dry. A quarter to half inch lip under the drip edge would stop it from getting under there in the first place. But rather minimal anyway. The edge on mine just gaps a bit in one spot.

   I bought 2 of these for different applications than they are sold for but they work. They are used to hold and sort 9 diamond painting multi-placer pens on a slanted stand so that I can grab them quickly as I work. Love the silicone.

    The rubber bends when it has anything on it, making the water stay in place instead of draining to the sink. The good thing is that its not slippery so it holds the dishes just fine. Cant recommend 50% functionality..

    Have had this for almost a year and it kind of sucks. Holds dishes fine, but black stuff (paint?) now comes off of it onto the dishes. No matter how much we wash and scrub this thing it always sheds black paint on dishes. Kind of defeats the purpose of a “clean dishes mat” when the mat dirties your dishes again. Also it’s a pain to wash this mat.

    There is not enough lift for the water to drain. If your sink edge is higher than the counter, both edges are at the same level. I found an old plastic foldable paper towel holder and put it under the edge to keep it lifted. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have worked.

    If you’re the type to wash/dry a bunch of dishes at once, this probably isn’t for you. It’s not terribly big, and can hold maybe 3-4 glasses and a bowl or two while washing and drying. But this is perfect for our needs and the size is great for us. Looks great as well compared to the fabric drying mats we used to use in the past. It is slanted slightly to allow water to drain back into the sink, but the reality is that you’ll likely never have enough water accumulate on it to the point the water actually starts running off. It’s more typical that I just pick it up and shake it off into the sink. As mentioned in some other reviews, it does get water spots on it if you let water sit on it. But they are easily wiped off. I’ll maybe once a week just scrub the whole thing with dish soap and then dry it off, and it looks like new. The black isn’t a deep black, especially when sitting on a black counter. More of a really dark grey. Doesn’t blend in quite as well as I’d hoped, but doesn’t look bad either. My biggest gripe initially is that it ships in a box, folded in half. It took a good 1-2 weeks for the crease to flatten out from it being folded, and two of the “fins” are still forever slanted to the side as a result. Should really be shipped flat. Overall, recommended if you tend to wash/dry dishes as you use them throughout the day. If you tend to have a sink full of dishes before you start washing, you might want something larger. UPDATE: Attached a second picture from today (May 4, 2024), six months after use. Just wanted to show how nice this still looks, and to reiterate that yes, it gets water spots, but they are easily wiped off. Maybe once every couple weeks, I spray it with some soap, let it set, then rinse and dry it off with a towel. Looks good as new. Have had others mention how nice it looks and ask where they can get it as well.
