   I want three different carburetors over the years and this is the quietest, The only negative is that the rubber surrounding the drain is a little bit tight and food must be forced through using the drain plug provided. I believe this will change with time as the rubber wears in. I would buy again

   New Kitchen, new sink and new garbage disposal. Sink is also Kraus so I figured I a Kraus disposal would be a good fit. I am impressed with the low noise level compared to my old Sears extra loud one. I’m not crazy about the rubber splash guard. Seems to block most debris. I have to push through almost everything otherwise the guard will block it.

   I LOVE Kraus products. I own 5 Kraus faucets, 3 workstation sinks and I’m thrilled with them all. This is the first (and last) Kraus product I’ve ordered from krausoutlet.com. There’s missing parts and the unit is scratched so much it looks used. There’s was no instruction manual either. What a shame to have the plumber here to instal only to be unable.

   I liked the fact the product is compact but does the job. It’s not ultra quiet as it claims but so far so good. Ive only used it one time since the installation last night, but ill keep a watch to see how it continues to work over the course if time.

   I don’t normally rave about products, but this is an exception. I have had probably 8-9 different disposals in various homes throughout my life and this is BY FAR the BEST.
   It is much smaller diameter than others I have had or installed. So takes up a lot less space under the sink. Also easier to install.
   Quiet? OMG this is SOOO QUIET. If it isn’t grinding food you barely know it’s running. Even when grinding food it is super quiet. Ridiculously quiet, especially for one that that is this strong.
   It has no problem grinding anything that I would put in there, and does so quickly.
   The only thing I don’t like about it is the drain opening is too restricted. Water will back up into the sink pretty easily. I even got scissors and trimmed the center sections of the drain to open it up a little more for better drainage. This did help, but also made it slightly louder. I still think it was a good tradeoff.
   I have had this for about 6 months, but that is pretty short time for a disposal, so I can’t speak to the longevity. Hopefully it will last for many years.

   Overall I would say it is a great product and I highly recommend it.

   Leaking from dishwasher inlet! Not even used more than a month, started leaking.
   Good thing is warranty shipped out a new one, but guess what? Does not cover repair costs.
   So you’re pretty much screwed with buying this. Better buying a better brand than this one, and not have to worry about it, since you’re 150 dollar short just reinstalling this by a handyman.

   Nice and quiet. My only complaint is that the rubber part that the food goes through to get to the disposal leaves no room for food to go through without me shoving it down with a wooden spoon or something.

    I’m not sure why people have said this was difficult to install, it was very easy. The only difficult part was knocking out the dishwasher plug/connection (not unique to this brand). As others have mentioned, is extremely quiet. Not silent, but much quieter than the Badger 5 I had previously. Overall, very happy. Time will tell if it lasts, but so far so good.

    This works great. Hooked it up to my air button for on and off that works great.
    The only problem I had was my old age. It showed big time here. Along with a bad back I worked until my back hurt, get for the day to continue the next day. Yes, it took me two days to install this but I took many breaks due to the back problems.
    I do highly recommend this Kraus garbage disposal. Stainless Steel grinders and walls/floor. Quite also. Even though it’s under the sink in a cabinet enclosure it is a good looking machine.

    I would not buy this product again. It was difficult to install and very inexpensively made. The top of the disposal attaches to the bottom of your sink, (unlike my old unit that attached with a metal ring) and uses the rubber gasket as a snap ring.. Upon attaching the external downspout to dump the garbage to your piping, one of the screws slipped and fell inside the unit. The unit had to be removed and taken apart to get the screw back out. The motor looks very small compared to my old unit and it does not have the Allen head crank tool to unbind jams. The instructions tell you to use a broom handle to break loose clogs. It does have a reset button. I have installed over a dozen garbage disposals, and this by far has been the most difficult and delicate install.

    This disposal is so nice looking you want to install on top of your counter just to show it off… The install was great, it came with everything I needed and installed super easy! This is the quietest garbage disposal I’ve ever seen or heard! I’ll never install another brand, ever! I also have the Krauss granite sink and the rubber seal that comes with the sink flange sealed it perfectly! I still put some silicon around the flange to fill the small gap between the flange and sink because small pieces were getting stuck, but that was a simple fix! Highly recommend!!!

    I have purchased two of these 1/3hp disposals. First rfrom Home Depot, no knock out plug on that unit. I called them and they said yeah it shouldn’t take a lot of force to knock it out, you can return it. So I returned it and bought another on krausoutlet.com. Same problem. Called customer service. This time a different rep said that there is a plug it just take a lot of force, like you’re swinging a bat (!) I work on cars so I have hammers and steel punches etc. I wailed on that thing with impact steel until it started cracking inside. At that point I just decided to carefully drill and Dremel the port out. I measured the plastic with a caliper, it is no less than 2mm thick. The rep lied, this is an issue with their product. I gave two stars because it has a lot of features I wanted such as stainless interior, removable rubber splash guard, and it is SUPER quiet, at less than $100. I hope it’s durable for the long haul, seems well built. This company needs to own its mistake and fix their product, instead of lying to customers and ruining their brand reputation.
